Goals

SPITwSPOTS Goal is to provide a complete and convenient internet solution to everyone in the Homer area by creating the "Insanely Great" network.

We define the "Insanely Great" network as follows:

1. A network that allows wireless customers to access the internet through a single account regardless of their location.
2. A network that provides much more than just internet, by implementing many value added services such as intranet connectivity, local gaming communities, VOIP services, and local media streaming.
3. A network that provides all of these things to the public for free by utilizing advertising space to pay for bandwidth cost, while selling subscriptions for higher bandwidth and ad-free accounts.

It is intended that the service area should continue to grow over time to cover as much area as possible and our chosen technology is a reflection of that intent.

SPITwSPOTS' infrastructure provides the following benefits for ongoing and future development:

1. An organically self organizing mesh network for providing consumer level access.
2. A highly stable, long range Point-to-Point Backhaul network.
3. An easy internet solution for remote communities with access to our network.
4. The ability to spread out in any direction in jumps of up to 30 miles.
